Latvian subsidiary of SINTEC UK is looking for a Junior Project Manager based in Riga office. Sintec UK is a London based mechanical and electrical contractor that provides a wide range of professional installation services, specialising in automation technologies for material handling and storage systems. We have carried out projects worldwide, notably in UK, Europe, USA, Brazil, Australia and other regions. We are global service provider, installing conveyors systems and other equipment for companies such as Amazon, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, BMW, Nestle and many others.
THE ROLE
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join the SINTEC UK team. This role is ideal for someone looking to apply their construction project management skills in a dynamic environment. The position entails a 70% office presence in Riga and 30% travel, including international trips to various sites in Europe and the UK. Candidates should possess a full EU Driving Licence to accommodate the travel requirements of this role, enabling them to efficiently manage and oversee projects across locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Taking ownership of small and medium-sized projects
• Liaising with Site Managers and site teams to monitor progress and maintain tracking documents
• Handling disciplinary actions, managing complaints, and providing training within the site, with HR and H&S guidance
• Assisting with the annual salary review for site-based workers
• Planning and allocating teams for various projects
• Supervising procurement and site management activities
• Controlling the progress of projects, ensuring accurate and timely submission of progress reports for invoicing purposes
• Supervising the delivery, order control, and management of cables, containment, and small mounting materials
• Attending office and planning on-site meetings to discuss project progress and coordination
• Proposing subcontractors and suppliers based on project requirements
• Managing the budget and resources
• Controlling the use of access equipment and storage containers on sites
• Performing any other duties commensurate with the role
• Supporting the estimation department with project tendering when required
• Preparing Offers for variation orders during Project execution
• Tender meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project management (preferably within the construction industry)
• Full EU Driver’s Licence
• Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering and Installation
• Experience with material handling systems and electrical installation would be advantageous
• A qualification in project management or an equivalent certification
• Certified in BS 7671 18th Edition
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
• Demonstrated experience in people management
• Good communication and negotiation skills
